Ignition advance location pin

Now we're getting somewhere...

The rotor needs to be removed, the pin can then be knocked out with a pin punch from the rear, easy peasy.

Okay. Pin is out. Here is a pic of the rotor that came with the ignition. In the instructions, it appears that the rotor has a pair of notches. Are these what the photocell reads? The flange on mine is a smooth cylinder. Is this correct?

What type of ignition do you have and where did you buy it? Photo of the electronics box perhaps?

Yes, the magic eye "reads" the 2 notches to produce an ignition impulse for the coils.

The Witt DMC systems I am familiar with and that I helped develop and produce has exactly such a rotor, except it would be made from aluminium anodised either blue or silver, not in yellow zinc plated steel.

Your Rotor and the Rotor your Ignition needs dosnt match.
