You can get 4 wire switches off Ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-GT250-GT380-GT550-GT750-GT185-New-Ignition-Switch-/251292400131?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3a8231ba03#ht_448wt_721

I am sure? the 77 3cl has only 3 wires but you should be able to modify the 4 wire switch to fit

If your 3 Cly Ignition Switches are anything like the Lucas SF Prince of Darkness Switch I say JUNK EM.

I got totally feed up trying to main it and replaced it with 2 Heavy Duty Toggle Switches in Series - One is Hidden - I'm now Key-less.

From Top to Bottom Toggle Sx's - High Intensity Fog Lamps that are mounted on Faring, Head Lamp, Instruments, Running Lights & Rear Light (That comes in handy sometimes - BlackOut - Just remember you still have a brake light so Gear Down and don't Signal - Hum, could FIX that and would not mind a Head Light at times when I do that - LOL) and Bottom is Ignition Sx.

Nothing worse then having the Ignition cut out.

Yes that's a Clock you see. Used it when I wasn't separated - LOL
I only turn it on from time to time now as the LED in it creates a lovely Green Glow around the Cockpit and Wind Screen. Besides it eventually kills the battery if I leave it connected.

Nah, not Lucas but Nippon Denso - dirt cheap and about as reliable as gravity

Is the hidden toggle switch the top one or the bottom one?  :D

(sorry, I tried so hard not to post, but I just couldn't stop myself....... :) )

Forget it Poffer, I'm not going to tell you where it is ;o)

Anyway I edited my post just for you:

There's very little room under the SF and 1000 3 Cyl Dashes to house a BIG Ignition Sx.
