Touch or irony, only have one IIS ignition module for my 3 Laverda. In my zeal to support others, sent my personal units overseas. Possibly some of the previous supporters of the IIS system, have modules not installed or newer systems fitted. Either short or long box are sought, external condition is not important. Will purchase what can be made available to me, need about 4 units if anyone can assist, would be most appreciative, and obliged. Best regards, jon.

I can send you a couple
same address?

Was swapping emails just recently with Steve B about using an Ignitech box mated to one of your boards and single magnet, he is of the belief that it would work

Your kindness is unlimited Red, moreover, may well be, Maxene is the equal or better, diamond couple. Able to cover costs and purchase of any modules to hand. Yes, same address, ( you ) have done well to have that on file. No urgency on postage, la la land here...

Dont recall all that much, details on the Ignitech. Am at your disposal of course, in any technical facet, being an old aged pensioner ( true ) time is ever available, at times in vast quantities, a wry smile here.

There may well be timing issues in the method of utilizing the forward aspect and rear aspect of the magnet pole face, in rotation. I used the rear face as cold crank and idle reference, switching to forward face for metered curve operation. Was all a bit half arsed clever in the day, ie there is a reason that the SmCo magnet is 10m/m in diameter, not just a single phase trigger event. If that makes sense or help? all appreciated and glad to have your words, j. BTW i can still support iis modules as a guide, spare parts here are NOS though top quality from days now gone.

you can go to their website and download the software needed and check out what they offer
you will need the TCIP4 V96.exe file

in their software you will see that you can apply correction factors to individual cylinders which is a bonus
to set up the Ignitech it would use the leading face of the magnet as the trigger point

ok all noted, presupposing the north pole facing out from the IIS impulse rotor ( triggering oem hall effect in non latching mode ) is compatible. Recalled there was a system that used latching HE devices, not that my recall is stellar, hardly works as in how BTZ worked... miserable pun. Have a different email address these days, same name different isp url, see if i can send it to you...j

My ignition systems use latching type Hall Effect triggers, South pole turns the trigger on, North pole turns it off

Noted Red, my recall said there was a latching system in past engagement, could not recall the origin. Was at your place, 2014 as recall indicates. Glad to read your still experimenting and bringing new ideas to the fore. j

Tah Marty, that is a unique iis box in the day, custom twin plug curve that took a little extra time to sort out. Worked well in the end. Email you direct, via pm. j

Any use to you Jon, took this off, was working fine, changed to Ignitec a few years ago on both bikes.
Gee devoted iis man and machines, that was an early iis, modern pcb though the case was an effort to reduce the size of a module. Did the job, however i went back to the extruded case form for overall temperature control. Do appreciate the reply ( help me with first names, difficult to know whom is behind the handle on this forum ). Would very much like to purchase the module and or kit, rehouse it and have another Laverda running here, good effort you. j
