Just an update on the bike cover thing .......... JDC cover arrived to replace the Oxford Aquatex ........ problem is , it`s a lot more bulky than I thought ...... just trying to fold the thing up again is like trying to wrestle an octopus ......
The covers I use need to fold up and fit into the tank bag , so I can be on my way without delay ........ With the JDC , it would be downstairs to remove the cover , carry it back upstairs , return downstairs to the bike again ........ you get the picture ......... and then the same thing in reverse when arriving back home again ......
So I`ve ordered a Neverland cover .... even cheaper than the Oxford ....... but I`ve had one before , and it did a reasonable job at keeping the bike dry , and it`s easily foldable into the tank bag ....... only problem is , after 18 months of being exposed to the elements , they tend to turn to tissue paper ........ but being cheap you have to expect that ........
So if anyone in the SW of England is interested in an unused JDC bike cover , you are quite welcome to drop by and pick it up ( I`ve no doubt it does it`s job very well ) , it`s just that it tends to get a little out of control at times , ( ...... posting it is out of the question ) ........
Otherwise I`ll just keep it in case we get three weeks of snow ......... or use it to lie down on , on the garage floor ........
