Just recieved my 125 Sport and Trail America clocks back from George Bouret / https://tellerwerk.nl/

These were still working but in pretty poor condition with crazed lens and rusted housings. George has reconditioned them nicely, retaining the original dials for a bit of patina, but repairing the needle damping and even re-plating the housings. I couldn't be happier!

Tellerwerk is also capable of repairing/reconditioning the Laverda Smiths and ND clocks, as well as Smiths Chronometric instruments. Most Veglia stuff can also be catered for, depending mainly on parts availablity, so don't throw out any smashed up clocks, they're invaluable for spares. The ND clocks on my GTL were reconditioned by George, far better imho than another well-known dutch instrument restorer. This particular person did a total of 6 ND instruments for me, one of which did not function properly upon return and 4 others fogged up immediately after re-fitting. Several attempts of drying them out had them re-fogging at the slightest hint of atmospheric moisture, let alone rain, once fitted to the respective bikes.

George had previously modified a 1960s Kienzle mechanical 8-day clock for me, for use in wifeys' Fiat 500, changing the Opel dial face to one with a Fiat logo. He's a very versatile guy, great to work with.

Nice to know. I need to get around working on my 125 Sport which is in bits, in a heap at the moment.
I'm too busy with the running bikes to get around restoring another.
