Dont muck around with silicon just replace the rubbers when you can get them.
I may have a set here if that helps I have a couple of early triples with these manifolds and I put a small amount of three bond on the rubbers when I installed them, they are not the ideal inlets as the pressed plates bow as the small my 6 nuts that secure them are generally over tightened to the point that the plate bowes.
I have to ask is your bike a disc brake or drummer what number is she??

Hi maurice thanks for the offer will keep that in mind.No not a drummer unfortuantly number 1511 late 73 1510 is on the laverdamania site as a 73,
