If I bought it, and did it up, I'd sell it in the UK for 3 times the purchase price. They obviously put in a few quid for the guarantee!
Paul that leboncoin Jota could do with your attention - buy it Do it up for someone then sell it half price -
So do it because you can - get another Laverda back on the road - even the Orange and silver ones have Laverda on the tankIf I bought it, and did it up, I'd sell it in the UK for 3 times the purchase price.

A quick couple of thousand bucks could be made by somebody who'd bodge it.So do it because you can - get another Laverda back on the road - even the Orange and silver ones have Laverda on the tank
On the road in good old UK vernacular is one running and legal on our blessed public roads - the only way to get more interest is to have more on the road visiting shows , runs and road use - the O&S ( in my opinion you may not agree , that’s okA quick couple of thousand bucks could be made by somebody who'd bodge it.
What's a Laverda on the road?
Paul
Up to us to ensure it doesn’t !Well, orange, silver and the word Jota does sell magazines, I'm not certain that it puts bikes on the road. But it gets people buying them because the article uses words like fastest, roar, Avon production championship, exquisite exclusive Italian. Just what's needed to tickle a man's fancy.
As for the state of that one in France, they all do that Sir.
Quite a few were broken for parts in the UK I believe before words like mythical, iconic, awesome and investment started becoming commonplace.
Laverda is rapidly joining MM and Sertum on the list of past great Italian motorcycle marques.

I agree here,One aspect this seller and bike have made happen, lots of talk and "publicity", based on nothing more than a high asking price and uncertain condition of motor, mission accomplished. May well we stand on the sidelines as spectator, or not participate and promote the hard working folk supporting the Laverda brand for all to enjoy, the well experienced advise, the general knowledge on fair price for various models. We can make a simple choice and ignore the exploiters and ne'er do wells, they waste our time here. Rescuing a tortured Laverda is a laudable action all the same. j
I agree here,
Actually I know PJ well and although he does suffer from verbal diarrhea he does mean well and he really does try to deliver the best possible. He also keeps his word which is a very good reason to like him and forgive his bull. (remember he is a salesman at the end of the day)
I am sure all of you have bought a bike or whatever and been really disappointed at some time with what you thought was a great condition bike but found it was a lemon. At that point you never ever say "well it was cheap so it's ok" you say, *!*!*!*!*FFFFFFFFFF
What PJ is trying to do is give the best possible product and you forget the price. The best of the best usually ends up the cheapest also.
And it keeps it's value the best.
In short, I have never ever heard anyone complaining that they paid too much if the product is absolutely perfect. But everyone complains about the price if it is not what they imagined, and almost always we imagine better than reality.
RR used to have a slogan. "Quality remains, well after the price is forgotten" and it is one of the most true statements I have ever heard.
Jules.
