Is this factory bracing or an add on?

Yes , definitely not as tidy as the rest of the frame joints. I think it was used on the track in its lasts years. So some extra bracing would make sense..It came with open bell mouths, open three into one exhaust and no back end past the seat . I think it was wired for no battery also. Everything absolutely wrecked btw. The worst part was the that the bars were bent across the center section.. Rebuild in progress..All a bit of a gamble really.
 
I could be wrong, but I don't think any of that bracing is original. I'm not even sure the (coil?) mounting bracket in the foreground of the photo above is factory original. It's a bit hard to tell because I don't think I've ever looked at a 3C frame from that angle. A photo from the side of the steering head might tell us more.

Ged Shortens welder told me the factory (Verlicchi?) welding isn't great. He does a repair similar to the one in the photo, he did mine like that.
 
Yeah. Looks like an add-on. Not factory. I think Red does something similar when he braces the crack-prone area just below the steering head.

The factory did recognise the problem after a few frames cracked and they produced a brace kit that owners could get welded in, but it was different from what you've got.
