Hello I guess this topic has been discussed on another occassion, but I have just got my SFC running again and the bike vibrates through about 2000RPM and while its engine was out I had to reweld the lug on the lower rear engine mount assembly the isloastic mounts are probably orignal and the upper rear mount rubber appears torn inside I am assuming if the rubbers are in poor condtion vibrations transfer into the frame??
Has anyone else experienced this and what are the best isolastic rubbers to replace?
Thanks,
M.

Hi Maurice,

I've found that the isolastic mounts are sensitive to the correct torque settings, also that the mounts nearest the gearbox sprocket understandably tend to suffer more stress and therefore wear quicker.
I've got a set of (eBay bargain!) stainless mounts from Motalia on my RGS - they've been on for a few years now and are fine (although others have questioned the properties of the rubber and fixity to the stainless tube). I think I've still got a few spares of the OE mounts, although the best ones were used when I rebuilt Shaun (LemonJelly's) Sprint - I'll have a look and can easily get (another!) parcel winging your way if that helps? :D

Alan :)

Maurice, the problem stems from the one Laverda downfall.
It's all a matter of degrees..................................................... 60 sort of what they sould be.
