Japper drum brakes

I remember my old drum braked cars, the brakes when going backwards were not as good as when going forward. My Japper rear drum brake works on a similar operational pricipal. Q: If the Japper brake is run on the left side instead of right will it operate poorly, 2 x top shoe mounts and one flat turning actuator. Logic, mine, says it should be fine.

If it's single leading shoe - one cam. one pivot - you're ok, direction doesn't matter.

If it's two leading shoe - two cams. separate pivot for each shoe - you're in the crap....

My twin leader rear wont even hold it from rolling backwards on a hill.Bloody strong going forward.
