Jarama previous owners/history

Hi all, trying to piece together some history of my Jarama up to 2015. My bike was manufactured in 1977 ( 5922 ) and was one of 200 sent to the USA. It then sat unwanted until being one of 110 returned to the UK by Richard Slater in 1979 .Bike was then allocated to dealers Murrays of Haverhill, Suffolk and registered WCE 743T on 9th April 1979. It would be great to have contact or information from any previous owners or anyone who knew it.

I have Jarama 5924. It was sold as a 1978 model from Cycle Center, Pine Bluff Arkansas USA in May 1979.

Hi Dave, thanks for the interesting reply. My bike still has the for the USA vin plate on the steering head which states manufacture as September 1977 the year I believe they were sent over. Yours must be of a similar manufacture date if not the same as they are so close numbers wise.

My VIN Plate also states Sept. 1977. The two bikes were probably in production at the same time.

Dave,as you’ve shown me yours I’ll show you mine ! Yours looks great and I have always preferred the green myself.
