A bargain (or what certainly looks like one) in La Vera Vista today, although I suspect it will be sold by now.
If you’re not a member, ask someone who is. The seller obviously wants it to go to a good home.

Not a bargain, a normal price. £9500 for a well used and apparently well maintained bike.
Clem would have bought it, but we all received the club magazine 2 weeks before him.

Don't worry Larry. Postal service being what it is, I got the magazine in France before the majority of UK members.
(Freud in Vienna exchanged an important correspondence with Sandor Ferenczi in Budapest, 120 years ago. They'd write everyday, a letter from Vienna to Budapest would take 24 hours. Try doing that today)

Comparing apples with apples (or Samsungs with Samsungs?!?), today's technology isn't Pony-Express anymore but electronic delivery. Takes about 0,5 Seconds. Try to beat that with the 19th century stuff... 😉

Try sending your girlfriends hair curls by electronic delivery or the daisy petals you picked specially for her. Or the club magazine.
(do you never receive emails 48 hours late?)
Some public services were vastly superior more than a century ago.
 
You were talking about letters, the equivalent is an e-mail. this takes less than a second to arrive normally. And no - no e-mail ever took 48 hours to arrive.

Magazines can also be done electronically... And why send any curls around the globe? They should stay on her head, no?? :oops: I have seen delivery from China coming to my door-step within 3 days. That's pretty fast I'd say.

I think there are more services that have improved than those going worse. There might be exceptions though, I agree. Question is where your focus is when it comes to exceptions vs. standard. 😉
