Jota frame id tag

Hi all,
On the left hand side of the frame there is a small tag attached to the frame below the side cover. What info does this tag have on it ? If it is missing on a bike (Im possibly going to look at) is it replaceable ?

It's the homologation number for the frame. So nothing to do with engine or frame number which are (or should be!) unique to the bike. Typically obliterated or removed/lost when powder coating the frame. Replica plates were available at one time - can't remember from where (eBay maybe?)

When did they change from the black plate to the silver? Initial trawl of some photos suggest that 80 and 81 Jotas have the silver plate, maybe that was done to suit the silver frame bikes? The numbers appear to be the same.

They changed on the 13 November 1980 at 1604hrs precisely

They were bronze before that.

Thursday to be precise. Traditionally, in Australia at least, that is pay day.

1604 hours would suggest that the management changed the coloured homo plates while the workers were at the canteena having pay day beers.

Imagine the plate riveter guy coming to work next day with a hangover, to see all the homo plates turned silver:
