Yeah, but I wasn't suggesting anyone get one custom made by a professional bike doctor like your good self, or an engineering shop. I was implying that it's a nice little DIY job.

If I wanted one, I wouldn't get you to make it for me. I'd do it myself. The hourly rate I charge myself is zero. :)
There's only a couple of bucks worth of material in it.

I've not made one from scratch myself, although it would be a simple enough job. But I've repaired and beefed up a couple that had broken through the middle hole. The original design is rubbish.

Have you got a busted one (or three) Vince? Send it to me and I'll make it better than it was, and I'll charge you the same hourly rate that I charge myself.
I do them with a brace across the front of the middle mount where they always break, giving the bike droopy clock syndrome (Viagra may fix droopy cock, but not droopy clock).
The brace bar is hidden behind the front of the alloy mounting bracket when it's assembled. Rivet counters wouldn't spot it.

I was joking, mine has a curved section Tig welded like a barrel approx 40mm deep around both clocks. I did, or at least bent that around a buck and got it welded up when I mounted the Instruments onto the frame-mounted Fairing come headlight mount. I came to the conclusion removing all that weight from the triple trees allowed more fitness to the steering effort required. Got the idea from reading Performance Bike Magazine back in the day. The hard bit was making it all fit and still having plenty of steering lock. Not easy when it's all in the way of each bit. That all happened more than 10 years ago and just finished off last week with the last fairing mount and finally steering stop changes. Thanks again Chris for the welding.

In the past, I've simply welded a thick washer around the centre hole. It held out.
