Jota renovation

Blimey, five years ?? I'm not confident I won't be pushing up daisies by then. Already stopped buying green bananas..
Hello Perry, I know 5 years are a long time. It was a good excuse though to buy other bikes... 😉 On a more serious note I must say that some of it was caused by the large pile of work they have, some due to suppliers shutting down their business (the welding company f.e.) where it wasn't clear for a long time if he returns to business or not, then Dirk (team member of OCT) took his live, people left the company and new ones needed to be trained, some was surely also due to me not pushing hard enough as I could understand most of the reasons. Nevertheless, I also lost my patience several times. I just had no alternatives...

Same was with Boba. He made the Carbon parts for the 1000 SFC that you see in Niels report about the 1000 SFC Superlegera he builds. Took I think something like 2 years to get the parts. I "wait" not another 6 years to get my tank back that I provided as a sample. I simply wrote it off as I don't think Boba will ever send it back. Due to his health issues I was really stretching my patience to the max - until it broke. One reason I gave up on the carbon project.

So - you better have several Laverdas so you can enjoy one while the others get repaired/restored... 😉

Is Grant Duguid not operating still?….I would have thought he was maybe a better option for a full restoration going on his past work.
Grant is also a great address, but some of the work he has to rely on others, too (like the cranks and even the serious head work I think). He used to get these done by OCT in the past, not sure if he meanwhile has a different supplier for that.
