Jota starter motor

Paul,

I think I see flats on the shaft, in this case the gear used on the SJCM starters might fit straight on and no pin will be required. Just a single lock nut.

The flats are not on the shaft but on the mobile gear carrier that has a helicoidal thread inside it, à la Bendix, to throw it out against the locking pin.

It is a 600 W motor. I took the label off.

It's a great pity, because obviously, the company assembles the motors from parts and they have all the parts to make plug and play starter motors for our Laverda.
The company is in Holland and run by an Italian, so maybe we could pop over and get things right. There's a small market and we could take only a small cut and bring some Gouda back.

ha ha. I think the latest model from them has taken all of our complaints into account and it looks almost a perfect replica of the SJCM model, see the screen shot from their site I put on page 2 of this thread
