A big thank you to Admin for sorting out my application to be part of this forum and the help given to help me get on line.
I'm obviously a computer 'numpty'.
Please enjoy the photo of the new to me 1980 Laverda 3CL I bought last June and promptly rode back to Germany.
I'm and English born resident of Spain working on a Swedish ice breaker ship based in Germany.
I consider myself to be European.
I will have questions and will appreciate any assistance given.
Previously owned motorcycles have all been 'classic' Brits, Americans and German with one Indian manufactured bike thrown in for a giggle.
This is my first venture into Italian bike ownership and a considerable step up in technology.
Thanks again.
I hope you are all enjoying the summer weather. Unless you are in the Southern hemisphere in which case I hope your winter is being kind to you.

Hi Charley, welcome to the forum! There is a german forum, too, btw.: https://www.laverda-register.de/forum/phpBB3/index.php which you might like to register to, too. It is less active, but you'll find some local contacts, like Bernd, who is from Bremerhaven, too ;-) (if you do not already know him). Bernd can be of very good help and for sure is a great companion for a tour and/or a chat. He owns several Laverdas (RGS, 1000 3C or 3CL - not sure, a 750) and has rebuilt basically all bikes he owns as they came to him in quite bad shape.

All the best, enjoy the bike and also the time on the forum(s), great guys and knowledge here!

Thank you,
I will take a look at the German forum and look out for Bernd. Much appreciated.
As this level of engineering is above where my motorcycle experience has been previously any help will be much needed and appreciated.

Welcome Charley. Pipes look a little more upswept than standard, I like it.
I can't take any credit for the look of the bike or it's condition. I've only just bought it. Keihan stainless silencers, as fitted by previous owner and much enjoyed by myself. I'm told they are 'Jota' replicas, I have to take the word of the PO as I have no knowledge of this. I will be looking it up though, see what I can find out.
