Hi

My project 1390, I bought 1 frame and motor in 2016, and started collecting parts, and last summer I could start building the bike, and on Monday it was for customs and road inspection, and it was approved.

There are the same rear sets as I have on my 3c, got them from Wolfgang and they cost crazy money. Except for my pegs pivot and I drilled out some rubber original footpeg covers and put them over the alloy pegs. The rubber helps stop my feet from going numb on long rides. I love that green BTW

Hi Piranha.
Thanks :) Abourt: rearset: I dont like the original.
It wasn't meant to criticise the rearsets - I'm totally with you on that - one of the first things I changed in my long journey of improving my SF1.

Was meant as a flippant observation that you had dynosaur tyres on the bike  but obviously recognised the benefit of improvement by fitting rearsets.

Vince, I scored a bent genuine Jota gear lever and the short gearbox lever when I worked for the WA concessionaires. Just made my own alu plates, pegs made from rod drilled and threaded to M8 that take the std Laverda rubbers. Brake side is a custom reuse of an original 3C alloy gear lever. Cost fuk all ... i never had any dough back then! Still don't, come to think of it :ROFLMAO:

I spent a few years working for a Major Insurance Company that spent money like water and I managed to collect a few drops, it made Laverda ownership affordable to mere worker.

Lovely job you’ve done on that bike. I have 1456 awaiting space in the shed to start assembling .Bought it new in 74, sold it in the late 70’s then tracked it down nearly 30 years ago and finally bought it back about six years ago.was an absolute mess, totally dismantled but importantly nearly all the rare bits were all there.. Picture taken around mid to late seventies.IMG_0017.jpeg
