At least it had it's 15 mins of fame with my mate Rick on board before it left Tassie. Wasn't competitive in P5 against the big budget jap bike teams with their 150 hp engines, but lap times would have put it on the podium in P4. That's why we were going for the class change with the rear drum and wire wheels. Motorcycling Australia was OK in principle with the change, with the proviso that it got through scrutineering.

Hello Peder,

Nice bike.

Small question, what is the source of the intake pipes. Is there a manufacturer or supplier of this part?

It's for mounting on my "SpaceFrame".

Back in the old days, proddy racers had to retain the horn, although on this occasion I think it has more to do with needing it to be road legal.

Bonjour Phillipe,

Try Gijs v. Dijk in the Netherlands, he may have some left. Please be aware they are for the rubber connectors, not the early spigot fittings.

Bonsoir Piet,

Thanks for your reply, I want to stay as close as possible to the original and keep the curvature, not a "straight CNC machined" pipe. On Gijs' "SpaceFrame" the intake pipes would be aluminium and on the Museum's they are welded steel and chrome plated with a vacuum port.

Roger gave me one 30 years ago, he may have others and I can't find anyone here to make me a CNC copy. I think it came from WITT. The diameter with rubber mounting or direct mounting is the same 42mm, so the grooves shouldn't bother.

I'll contact Gijs again and see what he can do, he still has some parts of mine and I have to ask him how the starter is lowered with the 750 starter.
