Laverda 1974 Laverda 3C

Hi John Windham here. I replaced the side covers on my 3C with a set of new fiberglass reproductions. The original covers were cracked and warped. At some point the factory air box was removed and three 5 inch, K and N cone filters were installed. At that time, the front upper edge of the original side cover was altered to accept the filters. If possible, I do not want to alter new side covers and was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem. Should I try to go back to the original airbox system, if available, or do I try to use different filters. Any specific filter in mind? thanks in advance John

my own take, the plenum that is the air filter box is needed, re-fit it and your done.
CLEM
ps remember that none of the three carbs suck at the same time

Thanks for the info on the foam filters. Never considered that alternative. Guess that is why I asked. I am hoping someone will help me with another issue I am attempting to resolve. The front brake lines on my 1974 1000 3C were replaced by the previous owner and appear to be new stainless steel braided lines. They are obviously routed incorrectly and look terrible. Would someone please send me a link or post a couple of photos of the correct placement of the lines. Thank you very much. John
