Hi.....i have owned this bike for a year ....having solved the problem (with the kind help of a member of the forum)of the charging system....i still cant get the right hand cylinder to run without miss firing under load......i have rebuilt the carbs....changed the coils /plugs / leads / caps / ignition modules...i have swapped all these parts from left to right with no joy....i am now left with the electronic ignition?.....does anyone know how i can test and eliminate it?.......cheers....Dave.

Have you also checked the spark plug caps and ignition cables?
Are the cables between the ignition unit and the ignition box in perfect condition?

When do the misfires occur?
If you have misfires when removing the gas, you should check / change the exhaust manifold seals on the head.

A similar problem with the 350 Laverda. Did you also change the cables that lead from the pickups to ignition boxes?
The one with the red insulation.

Hi....i have checked and replaced any dodgy wiring in that area...i have replaced the plug caps and ht leeds on the new coils i have fitted...i have not replaced the wiring from the pickups to the ignition boxes....i have refitted the original coils to see if there is any difference......the bike ticks over and revs nicely untill i pull off....it has run for a while and it and it was very quick and then let me down on the right cylinder after 20 miles approx.....many thanks for yor reply and info....i will check out the manifold seals.......cheers.....Dave

Hi Dave, the problem as you described it to thomas is exactly the same es it occurred to me.
The bike started normally, had solidly until after about 20 km ride a cylinder stopped running.
The cables from the pickups were crumbled in the middle of the red insulation!

Have you also checked the carb mount rubber to make sure it’s not split and letting in air?
