Laverda 500 air filter and cooling ring

So.... as some of you predicted, I am starting my odisey in finding some parts for my 500.

I found in Australia a pair of carb rubbers in good condition, but i still need the air filter. I have the estructure that holds it in the airbox, but as it was clogged probably the previous owner just cut it out. Wolfang don't have them, but he mentioned that I can do one myself... any ideas suggestions? where to find air filter material that I can adapt to the filter plates?

Also one of the exhaust cooling rings is broken... the pipes are OD40mm with the balance pipe, so the rings have to be wide enough to enter and then using the 2 half rings. Are there standard aftermarket cooling rings I could use? or do I have to try some luck with standard Laverda providers?

Hi Miguel, 750 SFC 2-1 and 1000 factory 3-1 have also 40mm OD header pipes using the exhaust roses with two half rings inside. But I don't know if the distance between the threaded bolts is the same. Can someone measure?

I think you will find Ralph Allen at Motalia in the UK sells an after market version.

Aren't they the same as early 750s?
I would need to look. Check reference in the parts lists.
