Laverda 500 valves

I continue with my odyssey of gathering parts for rebuilding the 500 cylinder head.

I still need:
- exhaust valves
- new guides with adecuate valve seals in case they are of the modern size

IF I gather everything I still have to see if guide material (old or new) will work with valve material (old or new) depending on what I find…😵‍💫

Wolfang is sending me 3 guides (more on back order) of the new type, and intake valves (also new type, i think stainless..?)

Exhaust valves look to be the holy Grail

Regards to all and happy new year

I have plenty of exhaust valves, all used and will need regrinding or refacing on the seats. Let me know if interested.

if you use stainless valves you must allow greater clearances due to the differing expansion of this material, been there, had the guides seize to the valve stems, = very expensive and/or scrap head. This extra clearance can make an engine smokey, especially when cold.

Reading Clem's post above if you want standard inlet valves I have three brand new original Laverda ones left.
