Laverda 500s seat

Hi!

as some of you know, I have already my third Laverda on the way to his new home. It is a 500. I've been looking to some photos on the internet, and I saw that some S models had this smaller seat looking like the Jota seat, and I think it looks awesome. I found this one on ebay, but I am not sure if it would fit, as it says, Laverda 1000 and 500, are they really the same??

Can't answer your question, Miguel, but in my opinion it's too 'boofy' (bulky) and doesn't really suit the bike's slim character! But as we know, each to their own.
 
May be this seat from the photo is adapted, because it doesn't look optimized, but, I saw a report on an old spanish magazine, where they were testing the montjuic and the 500S, and this last one, had rear sets, and this hump seat, and in my opinion looks great... May be I find the photo... But still don't know wether this ebay seat is 500 as he says or 1000 as he also says!

Triple and 500 seat bases are totally different and will not interchange.  At least, a swap won't look much good...

The lower edge of the 500 seat has a definite kink upwards at the front to fit in with the frame and side panels, the triple seat is flat.

Pretty sure this is a 500 seat.(hinges on opposite side) Witha little skill and some foam you could make a triple hump seat cover fit.

Mmmh so I think that the seat from my posted ebay link is from a Jota, as it has the hinges on the jota side, I think 500 have them on the other side... so no luck!

Air screw loose, what I am looking for is a hump seat for the 500.

Wolfang just told me that "hump seat" for the 500 was specific for the spanish 500 serie, he even gave me the part number " 61 201 0081  sella monoposto for spanish 500 ", unfortunately he had been looking long for that seat without luck ???

Maybe get a spare seat base and have it re-upholstered, foam and cover, to copy the Spanish market seat. I've had a Morini 350 sport and a Guzzi Stornello seat reproduced just from a bare seat base and supplying a few photos to a local bike seat upholsterer. Wasn't expensive.

That is no a bad idea, I could use a cover from a Jota, that looks veery similar?

Hello,
I also love this monoposto seat. So I’m looking for a saddle to modify as advised Patrick.
Do you know if the 500 first serie seat and the 500 S seat are the same. The seat base at least.
