Laverda 750 SF K0 side covers

Hi all, is there a change over point for the side covers on the K0, I've seen some without badges and other with badges at the front and others with badgers at the rear of the side cover. Mine have badges but also extra holes that appear to have been filled at some point with body filler.
I'm trying to return this bike to some sort of originality.

They might help with not having to explain it isn't a Jota. 😉

Hi OTR002, there is no 750SF K0. Do you mix up Laverda and Hondas? You mean the early version of the 750SF called sometimes SF0? The frame number or some pix would help to lead you in the right direction. Ciao, Gert

Hi rez, this 750SF is not in original condition. Todays adverts are never a good source for infos about originality. You should look for original pix from the period, brochures, manuals and some LAVERDA books. Ciao, Gert

Why isn't this bike original? what's wrong with it? I'm still learning to speak Laverda and any guidance would be grand.
Cheers

Mines the same, and mine came, as far as I can make out from Holland #4875. Don't really understand why some twat raped all the original Laverda headed bolts etc. from it either, just to use on another bike , ruining the originality of this one. 🤨

Don't stress Rod. I worked for the Oz importers and used think I knew what was specific to which model, but learnt the error of my ways. There were crates of stuff the factory workers grabbed from throughout the model ranges, especially at model change times. And there have been over 50 years for various owners to fix with what they thought or were told was correct or what they could get.

Hi, correct down pipes but wrong (later) silencers, seat should have the old version of the LAVERDA lettering, wrong painted tank emblems, side panel emblems are located very strange - so I think there weren't any emblems, silver painted rear light shell instead of black, wrong foot rest rubber on the left side. Maybe someone will find more ... But everything easy to get it right. Ciao, Gert

Imho, the reason for the side panel badges on the 750 models is that with the launch of the 3 cylinder models, all Laverda twins then onwards shared the same tank badges with the triples which no longer said 750 and the "750" (and "1000") moved to the side panel badges. So bikes before the launch of the 3C generally had "750" on the tank badge and had no side panel badges.
