can the centre stand be removed from an Alpino? There does not seem to be a shaft you can tap out. Was going to put my Montjuic exhaust on the Alpino temporarily but it is looking as though I can't - I want to be able to restore the original stand afterwards, thus cutting it off is not an option.

There is a rod/shaft that goes from one side to the other.
If I remember correctly, there's a circlip either side.
It should just tap out.

Hi Paul, Thanks. I was just looking at the parts diagram and I can see the rod as you said. there seems to be 2 grooves in the rod at either end and a bolt through the the frame sleeve holding the rod keeps the rod in place. I must go back and try hitting the rod a bit harder after removing the bolts.
