Apparently the name goes back to Roman times. This is from a book I own, written by Raymond Ainscoe and Tim Parker.
I took a photo to save typing all that.

Gotta love a little grappa. Who would have thought the Laverda name went back that far. I remember going through Laverda in 2019. Not much after that ….. except Jo joining our lunch table, along with the BFM!
