Laverda triples in western Canada FOR SALE

Hi all

my medical tribulations are known to some on the forum. I am not leaving motorcycles or Laverda's, but after my recent near death experience in October 2023 from which I am still slowly recovering I am simplifying my life in various ways, including selling off some of my cars and motorcycles.

my three Laverda triples are:
1979 1200 Mirage
1982 1200 TS Mirage Series 2
1984 1000/1200 RGS Executive

I am going to let go any two of the three Laverda's. All three are in top condition. After New Years I will post photos and details. I will be happy to keep any one of the three. I can return the 79 1200 to much closer to stock condition if someone wants it stockish, or it can be sold with all the carbon fiber bodywork, or I would be happy to keep it.

1966 Garelli 150 (Laverda single engine) - project, totally dis-assembled
1978 Kawasaki 650 SR (D) - very nice, bare frame bare engine cases, total over the top build
2007 Moto Guzzi 1000 California Vintage, low kms, very nice, lots of accessories

my son Marc wants to offer some of my cars on Bring a Trailer, and he is just starting that process, maybe some of the bikes as well. He is also going to put the Gilera 150 Sport on display at the Aston Martin Bentley dealership showroom right after New Years. The Gilera is finished to such a ridiculously high level it looks like a piece of jewelry, should look good in the showroom and maybe even attract a buyer there, who knows.

for now I am keeping my Kawasaki ZX 14, pending my current negotiations to purchase a very lightly used (demonstrator kms of less than two hundred kms) 2022 Kawasaki H2 SX SE. If I land the purchase of the supercharged Kawasaki over the next few days then the ZX 14 will be on sale offer as well.

all the bikes are in excellent condition, running and operating well, and have been well maintained on the philosophy "while I am at it I might as well.....", no time or expense spared on maintenance or modifications. All the bikes have current Alberta Canada license registrations and are each currently insured.

any interest from Forum Members on any of these motorcycles let me know through the messaging function of this forum. I expect it is going to be end of February 2024, or slightly later, before my ads start appearing on eBay, Bring a Trailer, etc..

Happy to help with arranging crating/shipping, to trailer bikes to craters/shippers as may be needed, and otherwise to do pretty much anything to make any purchase from me a smooth transaction. Unfortunately Paul I think quite a lot of other owners will be going down the same route as you in the next few years. Hardly any of us are ‘spring chickens’ and we are all probably trying to manage various conditions brought about by old age etc.
At least you have years of enjoyment of your bikes, and hopefully you will find some buyers that will continue to enjoy them as much as you did.

Paul, you should have mentioned that "you personally rode each bike gently, but at a rather brisk pace through the lovely roads of the Rocky Mountains and they performed in an exemplary fashion. When stopped for a spot of tea at the cafes they were highly admired by the distinguished groups of moto enthusiasts who universally proclaimed their excellent provenance."

Or use more Canadian language...I drove the shit out of them at twice the speed limit on some of the best motorcycle roads and they are fucking great bikes. If you have the balls ride one like I did, these are the best of their kind. And I don't give a fuck if any of you punk hipster millenials have never heard of Laverdas.

Henry's Canadian version of appropriate motorcycle condition descriptions is pretty much spot on, especially for all three Laverda's. They have been upgraded and serviced to the highest standards to be used, have been ridden hard in the Canadian mountains, and serviced regularly as required to keep them in top useable condition. Not museum pieces. Not abused, just used as intended.

as I said in my original post, I am not leaving motorcycling. My reward to myself for not dying in October, 2023 during a hospitalization that started with 7 + days in a coma in intensive care on life support with a ventilator stuffed into my lungs, is a supercharged 2022 Kawasaki H2 SX SE. Bought "used" with 162 kms on it. I am anticipating an eventual pretty much full recovery, and expect to be up for a full riding season summer 2024.

The H2 apparently scared the guy who bought it new in June, 2022. He just didn't ride the bike after he realized on his first ride the bike was way too much for him. His loss, my gain. Now I get to do the initial break in process. He did do the two recall services, but he had the dealership pick up the bike and return the bike on a trailer both times, he was afraid to ride it. He also "invested" in LED underbody lighting, came with a remote for the LED's, colour changing, strobing, etc.. The LED's are coming off promptly.

I brought the H2 home today. Those of you who may remember my youngest son, Marc, from his decade + of attendances each year at Wolfgang's Laverda rallies, he is just turning 32. He is in two of the attached photos.

The 2022 is a major redesign from my previous 2018 H2, and this bike is the top model, has Brembo brakes, semi active suspension, and tons of electronic gadgetry. https://www.cycleworld.com/story/motorcycle-news/2022-kawasaki-h2-sx-se-first-look-preview/

These bikes are so stupid expensive there were only two 2022 H2 SX SE's brought into Alberta for sale, this is one of them, the other remains unsold in a dealership in northern Alberta. I have the original dealership purchase receipt from June, 2022, out the door with all charges and taxes it was $38,000 Canadian.

My present modification problem is that so far apparently none of the tuners have developed a tune for the 2022, they only have tunes for up to 2021. My modification plans include a VanDemon full exhaust from Australia with the open H2R "muffler", removal of top speed limiter, removal of the emissions stuff, removal of the PAIR valves, etc., etc., but this will be dependent on finding a reputable tuner to deal with reprogramming the ECU.

Lucky I didn´t had a near dead experience Paul but riding on my 1000SFC gets more difficult every year, thanx to my left hip. I have also a K1100RS and the difference is like a Morgan and a normal luxury car from this age. I think we all go the same direction so don´t be sad; you are not alone.
For truly comfy traveling I saw that your US Battleship has now its own sleeping housing near the garage. Thus if your body is in need you can travel in all comfort...
