Hi all,
The bike ran at Pembury a few weeks ago ridden by Andy Jessopp, but a number of issue became apparent.

Anyway I have managed to gain an entry at Donington Park this Saturday - Classic Bike Track days event - to allow testing to take place before the team head(?) to Spa for a 4 hour endurance race 24/25th September.

Please note there is still the question of whether we go to Spa due to Covid, but lets put it this way , plans are under way to achieve a starting place on the grid at Spa - entry fee paid!

If anyone is going to Donney this Saturday please pop along and say hello, you shouldn't miss a big orange motorcycle!

Cheers,
Andy

Only testing Gareth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is Fritz going?

I plan to be there for around 1715 Friday to hopefully get myself a garage space, what about your self?
I'm in the advance group, yourself?

Rob B is turning up Saturday, there is few things I'll need doing while out on track.

Andy

I got a last minute cancellation in the advanced group and was going to run the RC30 but it's too loud so it'll have to be the 900 Honda. I don't know if Fitz is going but I hope so. I'm only 30 minutes from Donington so I'll head out on Saturday morning. See you there !

good luck guys, wish you all the best of luck and preparation

we are taking the Mule out to Queensland Raceway on Sunday for some testing, need to dial in our Ohlins fork modification and to check I have fixed the gearbox issue. Not certain why we are even testing though, next two BEARs rounds will be cancelled due to C-19

Yep, C-19 is going to put a dampener on our lives for some time to come. NSW cases and lockdowns are a big worry. Victoria on the cusp of going over the edge too.

Was there any particular obvious reason that the layshaft bent, Red?

Is he any relation to Edgar Jessopp?
Not quite, but back in 1985 when I made my debut at the TT, someone in the press centre thought it was a wind-up when I inquired about having an announcement made over the tannoy/Manx Radio asking if I could borrow a bike for practice. Apparently they were heard to say, “Edgar Jessop isn’t a real person ignore it.” Fortunately, the late, great Peter Kneale overheard the conversation and replied “oh yes he is” and made the announcement. I was duly offered a Jota 120 by a visitor from Cheltenham, which I used to qualify for the 1300 Production Race.

Have a great weekend Andy, hope to catch up with you over the next few months, have yet another Monty for you to sort when you have time.
All the best, Dave

Big thanks to Rob for the support, and general help throughout the day.

Always good to meet up with Dave and Gareth.

Thanks also to Steve & Jan, and Neil for popping in to say hello - I'm not good in remembering names hopefully I 've remembered correctly.

It was great to see you guys again and despite the typical Italian early morning grumbles, both bikes made it out on track in the glorious Donington park sunshine.

Roll on Spa !

It was great to meet everyone and enjoy the sight and sound of two Laverda's circulating, it was well worth the trip down 👍
