Laverda Zane Self-Starter
The Laverda Zane is born with a self-starter that is too weak and has problems pulling the engine over compression to start. Yuo canbuy an extra set of starter coal but
it doesn`t help much. MyLaverda freind Hans Nørgaard and I have talked a lot about what could done because his wife had problems starting her Laverda Strike and it seems that Hans Nørgaard has solved the problem with a reduction gear between starter and engine. he has made two starters, one for his wife (Gonza) Laverda Strike
and for my wife (Anne) Laverda Strike and the self-starters will be tested this summer, but from what I can hear it has no problems starting. If there are no problems Hans Nørgaard intends to produce for others if there is interest from other Laverda Zane owner. I can be contacted at kronborg@laverda .dk for more information.

That looks very tidy. Similar to the reduction gears in Laverda Zanes and some Japanese bikes. Do you know what he sources the reduction gears from?

Read about so many fixes for this over the years. Everything from 4 brushes to better plug leads, Ducati and some Suzuki starters, tap instead of push the button, etc., etc., hope you have finally cracked it.
