The voting curve is flattening out, no more changes in the last few days - 67 folk have voted so far ...

It used to be like this then rally up to around 150 orders at close of play.
I think last year it struggled to get to 100 or so.

Remember guys and gals, this is done not only for you but by you.
You supply the photos.
You vote for your favourites.
Your input is Jo's output.
Jo has the difficult task of herding you cats for voting, ordering, paying and participating.
Support this forum initiative please, or it may dwindle away and not be worth the effort.

Spilts the order and it turns into a waste of time , be lucky if you brake even , same as it ever was , amazing  how many people say they will buy one ,but amazing how many actually buy them . Good luck with the sales . I can see why you passed the batton Grant , you did well too keep going as long as you did

I can imagine this calendar is a lot of effort for a little win, or none at all, however I still think is a nice initiative, I am new at the forum, but I really like the idea, please go on with it!

I just wanted to give a very small input, as an idea... Would it be possible to add under the photo a couple of words about it? like the place, the person or whatever has the biggest meaning in the photo?

A camel is a horse designed by a committee.

Of course peoples favourites may not make it through, but that's the nature of the beast.
It's a group thing, done to support the community spirit that has been shown time and again.
Helping someone out who has had illness, an accident, a bush fire.

It was perhaps easier when we had Bike of the Month, well run by Scrumpy, as each month's winner went into the calendar, but it made things too tight getting December voted on and then the calendar produced and sent around the world before the end of January.

It would have been much easier for me to just select 13 winners and get the calendar produced but it would have lost the group spirit.

And if you hadn't already guessed it's a way to encourage folk to get out on their bikes and enjoy the journey.

Over the several years I was doing it the number of votes sometimes outnumbered the number of individuals buying. As if the whole effort was just for their amusement, or they were critical of aspects of the way it was done.

If Jo had not come forward there would have been no more calendars. There wasn't exactly a stampede to offer to take it over.

I appreciate the effort and I'm glad someone is making it happen. Well done to both Grant and Jo. Not as good as the calendars we used to get made for the small engineering company I worked at in the eighties but those sort of calendars are frowned upon now

And if you are that type of person that is upset by a opinion then you are more sad than owt ,i anit no twat i appreciate  what this man has done , but i just stated apoint , once again , you sad bunch of twats , so Grant , Maurice Turner , wind ya neck in , and dont be such , jumped up tossers . Honestly you really quite unbelivable with your attitude to an opinion . And if you think you jokey LOLing face excuses you from your saddness , well your mistaken!i  hope your calenders sell, i hope you make a profit, from your efforts

I produce the calendar for the LCO race section every year.
This year I'm helping Jo in the background to keep Grand's established calendar appearing.

My experience: You can't please everyone with projects like this.

Grand: See the thing along the lines of "the dogs bark, the caravan moves on".

Only those who have already produced a calendar or created a homepage know, how much time and nerves it takes.

Let's produce the calendar so that the name LAVERDA will continue to be remembered.
All clubs worldwide need young talent - the next generation, so that Laverdas will be driven on the streets even in the future.
