layshaft stuck on top sf

When I split the case on the sf the transmission layshaft adhered to the top. Was going to try knocking the case on the floor w/ folded cardboard to loosen. Everything is fine...Gears, bearings. Don't want to hammer anything.
Then the shifter drum. Where do the forks go in-between the shaft gears...Also a lock collar fell out looks like the lock collar fits back to mate w/ concave side.
 
I use a bit of wood and gently pry from the bottom of the case under the shaft. You should find it comes out easily. Just look at the the slotted rings where the selector forks are supposed to fit into and it'll be pretty obvious which is which.
