As it happened, coincidentally, half a dozen other Laverda Owners and I went to Hastings on May 7th, 1979, the date of the inaugural Locksbottom to Mayday Run.
I've been on many of the subsequent Runs and, weather permitting, I'll be going this year on 4th May. Departing Locksbottom High Street at 9am.
