Long wait

If you go shopping with Andy Wagner ( Laverda Paradies ) , then his latest email says he will be closed for business from November till next June !

When he re-opens in June , he will be active for that month only ......... he will then be closed again for another eleven months !!!!!

No business successor found , apparently .

........ So get your orders in now , and quickly ................



PS ......... Regarding a long wait for things ........

A few years back there was a husband and wife business in Kent who specialised in BSA / CCM B25 and B50`s ...... One of their customers took a B50 into them for a rebuild to CCM spec ...... leaving the message .......... " Don`t take too long about it ........ I`m an old age pensioner ... " ..........


There was a CCM " trail bike " which CCM marketed back in the `seventies ........... It was basically one of their 500 or 608 moto-crossers fitted with a chainguard in order to make it road legal !! .......

Footrests weren`t mounted on the frame . or anything girly like that ........ Oh no , these were mounted on the engine cases ..........

............ I think the speedometer was actually an easier to fit rev-counter .......... ( 3000 rpm = 55 mph ....... there you go , it`s a speedo ......... ) .............

There was somebody interested with Andy's stock, but UK red tape and charges made him turn around.

David Cameron initiated the Brexit Referendum , thinking people would reject the idea of leaving the EU , therefore re-uniting his political party ........ many members of which held a long term dislike of the European Union and it`s institutions ............

Why he took this gamble is unfathomable ......... What on earth made him think the country would be any more united on this issue than his party was .........

The problem is , this division and discontent is deep rooted ....... going back over a period of many decades .........

It is in essence an emotional , rather than a political issue ....... and as such I`m afraid it runs much deeper than any concerns regarding red tape , tax , or import duties .....


Nigel Farage is now surfing this wave of discontent , caused by Cameron`s ( and his successors ) botched decision making .......

Reg Allen in Hanwell had a 500 Triumph Adventurer in showroom, made from NOS parts. I asked to buy it when I was eighteen, he said he would call me when they finished it…I saw it in the showroom when I was forty!

I don’t understand that- Lambretta specialist near me ( Swiss Tony’s Lambretta, Bridgwater ) now has worlds largest stock of NOS Innocenti spares - makes regular trips to Europe and brings it all back and sells it . Just taken on larger premises. Had Nine tons of spares to catalogue when I spoke to Carlos last.
Sends parts throughout the world, biggest single customer is in Philippines .

Perhaps because he (and those like him) are completely out of touch with reality, blinded by privilege and some weird sort of saviour complex passed on to them like a golden baton at whatever posh school they went to?

I was living in London at the time, and when the vote came to leave (albeit by a whisker) I don't think anyone in London could quite believe it. I remember friends living in the sticks telling me how there was going to be so much money now for the NHS, and how farmers would be better off, etc. etc. I woefully shook my head and started stockpiling French cheese...

The thing is that although there are many on here who think Brexit was a mistake there are also many who voted out and would do so again, myself being one of them. It is probably best to stay away from this topic which always ends with the padlock of doom as it generally becomes heated.

I voted out and I have a house in Europe. I remember the utterly corrupt PM of Malta telling the UK how it was going to be and what we were going to have to do and I thought you are asking for a kick in the balls Mr EU twat and he got one. Why the hell should the UK pay money to the EU so that they can be sold stuff and robbed blind to pay everyone else's bills? Fucking stupid. We got nothing out of the EU except Europe's unemployed and criminals. I will also say this, Europe is as weak as piss without the UK, couldn't fight its way out of a wet paper bag.
Ok I know we have problems but so does Europe and we will fix ours on our own.
Obviously that doesn't mean I don't like Europeans, I think they are great. Except for Mr Marx of course.

My father’s family is originally from London. I spent 30 years living there and loved it, before moving to the countryside.

Brexit is ancient history and personally I couldn’t care less how people voted because it’s all done and dusted now.

However, a lot of lies were told by politicians at the time - no surprises there. And as much as there are plenty of people who voted out and are still happy with their vote, there are equally a great many who voted out and wouldn’t vote the same way today.

All I know is it’s made my penchant for French cheese that much harder to pursue 😉

Can’t believe you fell for the “French cheese” project fear. 🙄 My wife still lives in fear of the Butter mountain, get a hot spell and we could all be sautéed !
