Looking for a neat solution for removing RGS mirrors

I’m thinking of removing the mirrors and switching to bar-end mirrors from my RGS . I’ve got a small set fitted at the moment, and they give me a clear view behind me without any vibration.
Does anyone know of a neat solution for the rectangular hole left by the original mirrors if I remove them?

Garry, the mirrors and their brackets also double as fairing mounts. First consideration needs to be to appropriately attach the fairing and inner fairing "liner".

It will indeed be a challenge to join the inner and outer fairing securely and also neatly.
