Looking for a WBO tank

Have one nice WBO tank that I do not use anymore.
The one I have will fit either a SF or SFC frame.
Old pic from 2008 Bikers Classics.
Will post better photos next week.

Hello Jürgen, I think I said it on the other forum once: WBO ordered bottomless tanks from "The Tank shop" in UK and welded in straight alloy plates on self made benches to get them to fit to Guzzi, Laverda and many other bikes (hence the top look on the upper part and the ugly look on the bottom...
if the Dent-Doc is not able to help, I would maybe contact them and ask them if they are willing to fix it... or willing to build one new for you...:

it is a 1000 tank no 750 Sfc tank will fit

I wrote to them and emailed them some pictures. We'll see. Ideally, instead of a repair, I'd like a new one, preferably one with a different bottom design to increase the volume.

maybe also a bit shorter, as the SFC tanks are VEEEEERY long and you are stretched over them when riding... You can have a seat on my Jota to compare, might be more comfortable to ride on public roads...
if you want the german tank shop to make you a new one, i can borrow you a 1200/3CL frame so they have something to adopt it to. All it would need would be the front rubbers. That would allow you to finish the rest of the bike while you wait for the tank...

Thanks for the offer, Lothar; I'll get back to you if necessary. My idea is to use my tank as a template and replicate it exactly. We'll see if that's possible.

Hi Juergen,
It's a VW Golf 1 cap.
It's in the process of being replaced with an aircraft type (and making that lovely tank nice and tidy again) by a renowned British company.
