Loose flaps

I hate loose flaps but at least I finally worked out why there was banging and clunking coming from the fairing. The fuel filler flap is as loose as the local Malvern Stars flaps.

I will pull the fairing off and fix what's giving up but I am wondering if it's about to fall off altogether?

Is it a simple fix?

I have some more miles to do till I can fix it. Have temporarily taped it shut which will make refueling a tad slow...

 
Assume you are talking about the flap in an RGS fairing; try some velcro, no not on your hands ,you aren't a kiwi ;) ;)
 
While the fairing was off yesterday decided to look at this and it was immediately obvious, the hinge pin was half out. Slid it back in, crimped the end a bit to stop it slipping out again and all good. Spring is fine, no rattle and no duct tape required.

So if you get loose flaps stick your pin in all the way.....
