Be good to have the talent, and be payed to do it would be better.

I used to drive an Allard which had a nice blend of American V8 with British chassis.  But a Midget with a V8?  That's silly.  A Midget needs a Subaru twin turbo, everyone knows that.

I just read the whole lot - Bug-Eyed Sprite.

It looks as though the customer is always right with bags of money to spend.

Stock width, tall customer (have you ever seen a small person in a small car?) and a stretch of 5" with a V8 will be fun in a tiny car.

Impressive engineering though, very thorough and professional.
The first road test will be compulsive viewing! Hopefully a very wide road.

I have a complete 66 XKE suspension for the AC Cobra including the cage.

Was going to buy the Arntz Cobra Kit which became too expensive over time. Them set up a 74 Volvo 142GT for the Jag suspension with a Jenkins 8000rpm 450Hp 331ci SBC. Got married and never completed the car of my dreams; but still have the Jag suspension, motor and manual 4 spd top loader tranny with a Hone OD ;o(

I am just about to put deposit on one of these, more than enough grunt for this old fart: (when I can find a dealer that will put a tow bar on it. It's an option but, the dealer I spoke to initially, said "they wouldn't do it cause it's too much work" ..... fuck them, I'm off to another dealer)

  • Almost did the Mustang thing, but wanted four doors.
Looked at the Holden Caprice, but it's just a big Commodore.
Looked at the WRX, too small.
Looked at Benzes and BM's but just no me.

Fuel economy at 14lt per 100Klms :o is a bit of an issue, so have been to LPG conversions and on gas, calculations show $ per 100Klms equivalent to 8.2Lt (on petrol).
The cost of the conversion isn't cheap, but it will pay for itself in the first 10 months, based on the klms I do.

Size, appointments and grunt for money, when all weighed up is hard to beat, IMHO.

Re: Bug Eye  :o ................ I couldn't eat as much as I would shit driving that!

If you want both grunt and good economy get the Audi SQ5 diesel. Will smack that whale into the weeds.

I'd need to grow a beard, and wear cordaroy pants ............ and Terry would try to hang me.
And, then there is the cool factor, the "whales" ooze cool ........... never said I wanted great fuel economy, just better.

Get with the programme Chris, low crutch cordaroy pants and no socks. (Where's my noose) :D.

Only ever driven two American cars- Mustangs- and they were UTTERLY shit.  Hope that Chrysler is better, but I doubt it.

Don't let the tow bar requirement be a limiting factor, all sorts of things are possible although not all are advisable.

Nup, I just like blowing away unsuspecting V8 driving bogans at the lights.

Well, you have a distinct advantage ........... they don't know you want to race, when stopped your engine turns off, so you can't blip the throttle at the lights  :P

Audi Q5 ... not sure where the corduroy conservativo ref comes into the equation??  :-\  There are plenty of handy diesels that will see off the unsuspecting bogan or big-donk leadfoot.
