Hi all. I noticed in a different post a very good photo of robs bike showing a lowered battery?? So, two questions. I'm assuming its an odessy battery? and it stands to reason that the battery tray has no stiffening effect on the frame as standard? Cheers in advance. Mark

I have also lowered the battery when using an Oddesy, saves a bit of space and drops the weight down a bit.

Don't know if this is true but i heard if you lower the tray enough you can fit a Reliant robin battery (plastic 3 wheeler only need a bike licence to drive it )
think they cost about ?35.00 :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ the battery that is.

You would have to lower more than the battery tray to fit a Reliant Robin battery.

Your standards for one!

If you lower the battery make sure you make adequate allowance for the chain run at full compression. It'll go through your battery like a buzz saw...
I've just fabricated a lowered battery mount for a flat mounted Odyssey using two pieces of chunky alloy angle, very easy to do. I'll post a pic in a day or so.

As promised....
