lubrication reality check

wagon wheels, jammie dodgers, burtons tea cakes,Tunnocks caramel waffers, big baaaazzzzooms and mars bars, all go in the same hole, its just that one of them might have been in a different hole first.

The long and the short of it is, if you like it and you think its good, dont be surprised when you buy the self same product and find its crap
eg waggon wheels
those bikkies used to be the bizz, now they are both smaller and crap,I know I am an expert on this subject

Clem,

I agree with you 100% when it comes to Wagon Wheels. The Westons ones were great.

About  30 minute ride from me there is a small country town bakery that makes their own chocolate covered version. It is even bigger than the original.

Its not quite the same but you can tell the effort and enthusiasm is there in buckets. It is great in its own right.

You have an open invitation. If you ever come over to Queensland, the concours would be a good excuse, I?ll plant you on one of my Guzzi and we?ll go there so you can try them out.

Oh, back to the thread.

I was working on a ferry a number of years ago and the engineer was a Slick 50 devotee. I had trouble with my old MGB GT in the tropics always running hot and he recommended it. After I poured it in I had to stand there with a screwdriver and back off the idle as it just ran better and better. Its run cooler ever since.  :D

I have been told that Slick 50 today isn?t what it once was. The original formula evidently wasn?t that environmentally friendly. I tried sticking some in a few years after my first experience into a couple of my bikes. I noticed no change.  ::)

Cheers

I was thinking of the past, when we were young and we all had 'strange thoughts', reckon she's aged pretty well though. ;)
