When inserting the stanchion up side down it slides as it should.

Obviously a very early prototype upside-down fork. Must be worth a fortune!  Put it on ebay.

I'm with you. Another day, another opportunity. Yesterday it was getting the steel spacer to turn freely in the brass bush of the footbrake pedal.

Hey silly question but how much oil does a 38mm Marzocchi take? Also they say the new stanchions only have about3 thou of chrome as opposed to 10 thou on the original... Hence best to go and get the old ones hard chromed..?

For an RGS, the standard is 300ml per leg.
