Marzocchi fork legs and seals

Hi all , need a little help with pitted fork legs and seals for my lav ,I’ve been advised to have them rechromed by philpots of Luton but 8week turnaround anyone used anybody else and who the go to person for seals please

Steve at Hard Chrome Plating in Mansfield should be able to do quicker than 8 weeks if you ask him nicely! Took 3 weeks a couple of months ago. It's a small operation so depends on what else is in his queue.

you can get the hard chroming and cl;cylindrical grinding done through any agricultural ot plant distributor, my local one has a subcontractor collect every Thursday and re-deliver the next Thursday, assuming all is plain cut, grind, chrome, regrind, polish, the service is for hydraulic cylinder rebuilding, which in effect a fork leg is, but for bikes you dont need anything doing other than the grinding/chroming stuff, with Hydraulic cylinders there are usually "eyes" to cut off and reweld when the job is done, and assembling seals that can take upawrds of 10,000 PSI is not for the garage floor or workbench.

I have 38mm seals in stock and willing to post.

I like the turnaround times and prices, where plant is concerned, when a cylinder is delivered for repair, it goes without saying that your machine is inoperative without it, and that cost money big time, so it gets done if poss within the seven days period.
