Marzocchi shocks

I brought a pair of Marzocchi shocks for my Jota, it turns out they are too short. I did ask the seller what they were off of and he said they were off of his triple.
So i have these for sale and they fit a 750. They will need a refurb, cant post pics at the moment as I'm away from home I'm trying to gauge interest. I will also posting on the other forum. UK based hoping for around £150

Sad thing is they were never std on 750s so rivet counters will shy away - and as shocks go they have a reputation for being well below the std of modern classic style replacements, so those in need and the know will look elsewhere. But good luck with the sale and apologies for raining on your parade, Terry! Any chance of a return and refund? Falsely advertised.

What's the eye to eye length?

They might suit a Ducati or some other Italian bike. In that case you'd be better off putting them on eBay or Gumtree, identifying them as Ducati shocks.

Actually, given what Quentin said (above) about Marzocchis not being fitted to Laverda 750s, they may originally have come off a Ducati anyway. My bevel Ducati had Marzocchi shocks.

IFIRRC I used Kwaka Z1000 length shocks on my SF1 at one stage - so they'd fit one of the Zs too. The triple must have looked like a hyena, arse dragging on the ground!

One of the NSW blokes did the same on an RGS, Ducks Disease. Short arse syndrome. Plenty of people used to do the same on high seat Dirtbikes, wind off all the preload, yes lowering the seat but absolutely ruining the suspension and handling all at the same time. Try and explain why this is so bad and you get at least I can now touch the ground.

The seller did say they were on his triple so i cant really say they were miss sold. The eye to eye length is 350mm
I think the standard length is around 360-365mm, so it's not far off. Probably a good length for someone with Duck Syndrome (arse close to the ground).

I can't remember the shock length on my old Kwaka Z1, but the Z1300 has 360mm shocks - near enough to the same length as a Laverda triple but the Kawasaki would have heavier springs.

I just measured my bevel Ducati and Moto Guzzi LeMans which are both 325mm, so the shocks wouldn't have originally come from one of those.

I'd guess that bloke who had them on his Laverda triple probably had short legs and wanted to lower the bike a bit.
