Anyone interested by this pair of shocks?

EDIT: NOW SOLD

360mm centre to centre. 12 mm eyes. Rods are clean, straight and shiny. Light grey bodies. Springs are missing some paint here and there.

110€ (=£90) plus postage to wherever you are from France. UK would be 27€, for example.

Any questions, don't hesitate ...

How much to Canada?

Just kidding ...... but what bike were they last installed on so would have an idea of spring rate?

You know, Jim ... I don't know! :p

I think Grant (formerly of this parish ...) has fitted them to Jotas and possibly other triples (?). And I've seen references to them being OEM on late model SOHC 750 Hondas and also on a couple of Triumphs. And they were OEM on late model Pantahs (600s etc). And they're the same model as used to illustrate the Marzocchi article on Wikipedia ..

...but more than that, I cannot say!

mine lasted about 20 years from new before losing any oil, and when I changed them for modern stuff (S&W) I was shocked at the difference, but a good pair should be kept for posterity by me for when I am gone.

ps thanks to Andy lloyd and Nick Davies for the gift of their shocks, akl those years ago, both sets of which were as new, still haven't needed the AL ones!

I suspect they had so little travel that the oil seals were never put under any real strain! A shame you had to wait two decades to find out what you were missing, Clem :D If they'd started leaking after six months you might have saved your spine from premature wear!! Last time I rode on a pair I could seriously feel my eyeballs being jolted in my head - sure, it was a bumpy stretch os road but this was unbelievable. It made it very difficult to see clearly and the only safe solution was to slow right down.

I wonder if anyone does cartridge type conversions on them - as they do with old forks, to satisfy the riveteers?:ROFLMAO:

I've got a pair of those Marzocchi Stradas stored in a box of Ducati MHR parts. They were original fitment on my MHR so I kept them for posterity when I fitted YSS shocks to the bike. Maybe the next owner will rebuild them long after I'm pushing up daisies.

I had probably the last seal kits for Symbols on earth fitted and the shocks rebuilt and there on my Pantah. I was told I was wasting my $400 at the time as even rebuilt they would be crap. They come with a knob that adjusts the damping, 4 settings and I couldn't tell may difference.
