Marzocchi top yoke wanted

Hi everyone,
I've been a daily watcher for a very long time now. Have not posted for years.
I'm looking for a top yoke for my ducati 900 gts cafe racer 38mm etc. Marzocchi.
I'm not getting any younger like a lot of us and need to fit higher bars.
Like an idiot I removed the handle bar clamp mounts off my top yoke !!! To create that "smooth" look (idiot)
I could re engineer some bolt through, re drilled and 8mm thread chinese clamp mounts.
But just hoped there might be some on here that had a """"cheap"""" one in the UK lying about doing nothing in their workshop. Thanks for any help.

Nice work on the Ducati

Yes Vince, that's the idea.
At some point I thought about selling the old girl and getting a more suitable ride.
Then thought I'd look at making a few little changes and see how we go.
Still have to grit my teeth and kick it into life !!!

Hi.
I have one for sale: send me a PM

Ian, I actually have the opposite problem. Got a top triple clamp that has handlebar clamp mounts that it shouldn't have. It's on a Moto Guzzi LM1 that originally would have had a top triple clamp free of handlebar mounts because the bike came out with factory clip-ons. I presume the top clamp got damaged somehow because a previous owner swapped it for one with handlebar mounts.

If yours has the same fork tube diameter, fork spacing and offset as mine, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. Send me a PM if you wanna sell it.

I bought 'brand new' marzo triple clamps and a set of 38mm M1R from Gowanlochs about 30 years ago. The top clamp had been welded from a handlebar type and repainted. the M1Rs were new and someone there had pilfered the rebound damper valve sealing ring and replaced it with something akin to a piece of cable tie. How did i find out? I got the first (and only) ever tank slapper I've ever had on my SF at about 120kph over a crest on Blacks Spur - it was so bad I had no front brakes when it eventually stopped slapping - the pistons had fully retracted. Fukking terrifying. Could have easily killed me as there were cars approaching. Ian Gowanloch duly sent me the correct part - his only reaction was to sigh in frustration ... probably at the utter stupidity of his staff.

Thanks to you two above.
I'm just waiting for a pm from sf vintage, I'm also sure they might be too expensive for my needs.
I'm also looking for one to come up on uk Fleebay.
I think I'll re-engineer the one I have in the long run, but fingers still crossed for a deal on a scruffy, not needed , bargain clamp.
If you mention the brand Ducati bevel twin, the price turns into a New World Trump number. !!!!!!

Very much doubt the Lemon and bevel yokes match in any way. Guzzi forks were always a bit odd special.

Ian, if you could supply details of stanchion centre distance and stem offset, I can rummage through my stash, I've got some pretty obscure stuff I cannot match to Laverdas.

Piet, thanks for your time in this search.
Rubbish drawing, approx 195mm between fork centres and approx 45mm off set from centre line of forks to steering stem centre.
Also just noticed mine has two holes cast where I've drawn the dots.
yes everyone .....I should have taken a photo, but it's freezing in the shed.

Thank you Sfc vintage.
Still looking everyone.
Did not know I had, till I looked in some old boxes.
Found a pair of upper and lower Betor clamps/pillars , that might help in my re engineering solution. Bolt through etc. Even might get a mate to tig weld the lowers in place.
Still looking for that bargain find......Thanks everyone.

Sorry Ian,

Nothing spare.

I do have a lower yoke that fits your description pretty well, seems you're looking for a yoke as fitted to MK II and 120° triples. I'm still a bit crook, so not able to spend much time measuring exactly in my freezer of a workshop...

Hi everyone who has contributed to my search, as above.
All sorted now with higher bars !!!
I've bought a 750 SF 1973 Laverda !!!!
An autumn/winter project, WITH higher bars (simple idea)
If "Admin" does not mind?? Would just like to say , reluctantly, the above Ducati is FOR SALE.
1979 900 GTS , as above photo. Owned by me for over 18 years.
PM, me if anyone needs further information. UK bike. £8350
Big thank you to everyone.
I've got a Laverda again, happy chap so far.

PS price realistically will be £7750 or very very near offer.
Thank you again
