Maybe it's time to get a Gold tank and side panels

Tippie (mon frere) has been a huge Opinel fan for many decades when he lived in Australia. I was travelling with a friend through France and we came upon the town where Opinels originate. There is a museum there, so we visited - I met Jacques Opinel, a grandson I think. He signed a brochure for me, dedicated to Lee (aka Tippie)!

Nous avons un nombre de Opinels chez nous! C'est sont des couteaux tres utils!

My Leatherman knife with blade open, fell off the top rung of a ladder, landed blade first into the wooden floor and snapped the blade off ☹️

Sent it away and they fitted a new blade under warranty. They didn’t fix the scratches on the handle bit, but at least I knew it was repaired, not replaced.

I had a couple of Opinels over the years brought when I was in France. Maybe a 3" blade and a smaller one. Both been lost or borrowed!!
I liked the steel, held a really good edge.
If you like, I can send you one from France.
I’ll cover the cost of the item and the shipping.
It has a 10 cm blade.
The list price is €16.90; I’m giving you this figure so you can calculate the customs duties and see if they’re too high.

That's a very kind offer and very much appreciated. I'd be more than happy to cover the cost just to have the opportunity of replacing my missing ones. My original one traveled all over Europe in my tool kit stashed in the SFC seat compartment. Perfect for cutting up my Baguette and goats cheese for when I went Continental. Made it all the way back to Oz before they disappeared.

Email me your address in Australia, and I'll take care of the rest.
You will only be responsible for the customs charges.
Best regards,
