This may be of some interest to those who used to visit Slaters Collington Works , or who attended the Slaters Weekends ......... probably only about 5-10 % at the most who view this forum , probably , but there you go .......

This was the scene at 3 pm today ......... I was slightly surprised , as I thought it may have gone for housing by now ......... especially considering the mini estates that have sprouted up on the edges of a couple of villages on the way up here .......

The fencing and new gate look a little bit too " nice " to have been erected by someone who is intending to reduce the place to rubble , so maybe the building will survive in it`s current form after all , for a while at least .........

Felt a bit strange making the journey up here without having a conversation with Richard ..... but I cheered myself up with a KFC and Coke at Hereford on the way back .......

Making the most of a day, today usually, is all you have... the English like what they like, 80% of the iis/alternator systems production went to the UK. High summer by the looks of short sleeves...j

Yes John ........ Although at the moment we`re well into May and still waiting for Spring to arrive ....... today was nice , tomorrow it`s going to be hissing it down ( again ) ........ So far this year it`s been 90% cold , wet , miserable ...... I reckon someone else has nicked our share of global warming ......
