Maybe Some Snowy Ride Info Worth noting.

Right you are Steve, not content with usual tourist impresonations , the matched pair of hooligans, names withheld ( bull..it was Venna and Ants ), decide to jack the zane front wheel against the pillar of the walkway for the motel units, lighting up the back wheel to the perfume of burnt rubber permeating all the upper and lower rooms, about 1am me thinks..... come the morning, gazing out in the early light, out over the balcony, see the garden tables at eye level in the court yard, trouble being i was on the second floor.... gee wonder whom did that?.... j

The first pic I recognise, Harbi, Doug Home and I think John K. And maybe Bob Cordus. I think this was maybe the year before I went although I do remember those Motorcycle Amusment Rides at Tathra Pub.

Not forgetting the UK input to this Snowy GP, the unique and never to be imitated Caustic Chris, popped him onto the recently acquired "3C", most notable the high altitude detection system on board, as he climbed into the snowy mountains, the pistons would bind up in the cylinder block, dependent on degree of partial seizure, a one to three ciggy stop to allow cooling down and off we go again, think the overall time expended was a whole pouch of rollies for the GP. Coming from the northern hemisphere there was the predication to not turn into a corner according to southern hemisphere rotation, lads pulled me up ( TLR for me ), indicating the rising dust cloud on the mountain road above me, "Chris just binned the 3C" oh, is he walking, yes the reply... ok he can sort it out, and he did, minus the only pressure cast cover for series 1 motor.... please note pommies, a left corner turns left, in Australia. Much missed is Chris, and my alternator cover...very large grin here. j
