Me and my Laverda Cico 1200... year 1992

Most propably... search for Ducati fender Paso ;-) here is one for sale:

Not saying it's the same, just the basic concept of leading the air around the fork legs is very similar...

Do you still have the bike Alberto?
Cico was a master to come up with those designs.

Tom
Hi Tom,

this motorcycle was stolen from me without an engine, luckily I had removed the racing engine to make other modifications and now it will be mounted on my new even more powerful special. In any case I have a complete Cico kit and it is also for sale here in the forum.

Regards

Alberto

Now there's a special kind of idiot stealing a bike that is that unusual where would you sell it. Hope he met a justified sticky end after that atrocity. I also had a bike stolen and it's a real kick in the teeth.

Hi Vince,

Exactly!!! You're right. Think 20 years have passed since this happened and I still have a broken heart, I can't forget☹️

A friend of mine had her Yamaha R1 stolen a couple of weeks ago. It was parked in the yacht club car park (she lives on a boat in the marina). Two guys turned up in a ute (pickup) and lifted it into the back. The two of them were struggling to lift the 200kg bike but a passer by helped them! The thieves told him it was broken down and they were taking it to their workshop to fix it. He must have been a pretty gullible type who knew nothing about bikes, because they simply threw it on its side in the back of the ute, with no padding or tie downs, and with the disk lock still attached. It was gone in 30 seconds.

It was all caught on video by the club's CCTV, but the footage isn't clear enough to identify them.

The cops later told her that the same ute was involved in 5 other bike thefts that day and was found burned out later in the day. Obviously it was stolen too. They also said they knew who the thieves were but didn't have strong enough evidence to charge them.

At least my friend's bike was insured. She now has a KTM 1190 RC8. I'd never seen one of those in the flesh before. Pretty trick looking bike.

Hi guys, you won't believe it!!! While I'm working on an amazing Special Laverda 1200 project, I found the Laverda 1000 that had been stolen from me almost 20 years ago😃😃😃 and with which I shared part of my motorbike touring life with my biker friends... a real miracle.

The Zane 650 Prototype in 1991 was using that style of fender so who used that style first?
