Midlands UK special meet Sunday August 6th

This monthly ILOC lunchtime meet will be something special as Richard Slater , PK Davies, Phil Todd and Rob Lawton have agreed to come along. It should be a grand day out - likely the largest gathering of Laverdas for a long time. 83 Laverda riders have confirmed their attendance. If you've never met the man who rode the Jota to production race class domination in the late 70s, now's your chance! There will be 7 race bikes on display.

Venue is the usual ILOC monthly meeting at the New Inn, Willersey near Broadway WR12 7PJ Worcestershire.

If you are coming and haven't said so already please message Sir Sidney Ruffdiamond as we want to make sure the pub has numbers for refreshments.

Both sides. Caliper is mounted on a pivoting 'lever' that acts on another pivoting lever that is attached via the rod to the frame and counteracts squat - you could call it anti-dive. Correct if i'm wrong.

How does it feel in action? Does the suspension lock up or is it free to react to bumps? I know the MotoGP bikes use a hydraulic system to accomplish the same thing and was curious how it felt on the road or track.

Ran that anti-dive setup on my Motodd for 25 years, I liked it. Removed when up graded to GSXR rims and 4pot calipers.
Surplus to requirements if anyone is interested.

Numbers who have said are attending with a Laverda now heading towards 60 - will be a great turnout. Probably the greatest number of Laverdas seen together for a long time here in the UK! Just hoping the great British summer decides to play nicely on the day.

• ILOC stand with regalia and proof copy of the club's 75th anniversary book plus forms to reserve your copy.
• Awards for furthest travelled and favourite bike chosen by Richard Slater and PK

What a fantastic day - I think we had 83 Laverdas turn up! Thanks to everyone who came and of course the organisers Adam Sherriff & Malcolm Cox, not to mention the New Inn's landlady Jules who let us take over her pub

Great to meet lots of old friends - also PK and his endurance race partner Pete Lovell who came 2nd at the Spa 24hr race (the original long circuit!!) 50 years ago. It wasn't a Laverda they rode but certainly a hell of an achievement on a .... Norton Commando!!
